Canton's First Monday Trade Days

First Monday Trade Days (1/4 mile) The world's largest outdoor trade days takes place Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of every month in Canton, Texas. On First Monday weekend, this peaceful, friendly East Texas town turns into a shopper's paradise where vendors from across the country sell antiques, furniture, home decor, art, clothing, jewelry, tools, produce, animals and much more.

WIRED Zip Line & Challenge Course (1/4 mile) A brand new state of the art zip line adventure course in Canton, Texas.  With some of the highest platforms and the longest zip lines in the state of Texas, our trained and certified guides will guide you through every step of the course whether you’re on the zip lines or the sky bridges. Ground school will teach you everything you need to know to have a thrilling experience on the WIRED course.

Canton Christmas Tree Farm & Pumpkin Patch (1 mile) Family Fun, East Texas Style! Come visit Canton Christmas Tree Farm for their Fun Filled Pumpkin Festival. Packed full of kids activities with Amusement Rides, Pumpkin Decorating, Face Painting and the Pumpkin Launcher just to name a few.  Then return to select your Christmas tree for the Season and create a memory for a LIFETIME! Buffalo Creek Motocross Park Canton, TX

 

Buffalo Creek Motocross Park (5 miles) Buffalo Creek is real motocross. Winding outdoor layout, great jumps, diverse obstacles with five different soil types. Separate 4 wheeler track also available.  Fun for all ages.  Live bands every Saturday night in The Door Club at the track!

 

East Texas Gators & Wildlife Park

 

East Texas Gators & Wildlife Park (7 miles)  Relax by the duck pond and watch the Gators feed in their natural environment.  View gator eggs, baby gators and adult gators of all sizes.  There are also ducks, snakes, swans, geese, lizards, turtles, fish and other reptiles to keep you entertained.

Twin Lakes Golf Course (9 miles) Chosen by the Dallas Morning News as one of the Top Ten New Courses in Texas, Twin Lakes Golf Course offers one of the most challenging layouts in East Texas.  An excellent course for group retreats.

Heritage Park Outdoor Museum (10 miles) Founded in 1976 as a bicentennial ongoing project, Edgewood Heritage Park encompasses fourteen restored and furnished structures representing rural life in 1900 Van Zandt County. The outdoor museum preserves the rural culture and architectural heritage for present and future generations.   Tour turn of the century buildings, such as the "Tomcat" Cafe, the Edgewood Band Stand, Gilliam's Gas Station, a country store, barber shop and print shop. Experience a taste of what life was like back then.

Lake Fork Bass Fishing GuideLake Fork (30 miles) Known as the trophy bass fishing lake of Texas.  Lake Fork holds 15 of the top 20 Texas State Record Largemouth Bass. It is comprised of 27,690 surface acres.  From Lake Fork's inception, it was created as a textbook fishery, including initial stockings before the lake filled. Lake Fork was established by the Texas Parks and Wildlife, as a premier bass fishing lake, with 732,514 Florida Black Bass being stocked from 1979 through 1987. Lake Fork offers excellent fish habitat with 80% standing timber left intact, and hydrilla, milfoil, and duckweed being the predominant vegetation. Other species of fish include catfish, black and white crappie, sunfish, and bluegill.
