Canton's World Famous First Monday Trade Days
Canton is known for the First Monday Trade Days, with miles of vendors each month as well as visitors of all ages. Historically, the trade day was only the first Monday of each month, but today, the First Monday Trade Days take place on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday before the first Monday of each month. Not only is Mill Creek Ranch located right on Trade Days Boulevard (Highway 19), but for our guests, we will shuttle you to and from Trade Days for for free!

Local Shopping
Canton has a variety of local shops.  You can find a wide variety of quaint shops on the square and the downtown area. Billie Rose Floral, The Very Thing Antiques and Home Decor and Tea Room on the Square, Val's Italian restaurant, and many more... throughout Canton you will find Wal-Mart Super Store, Oasis Day Spa & Salon, Prosperity Bank, many restaurants including Four Winds Steakhouse, Sister's Cafe, Rod's BBQ, Two Senoritas Mexican Restaurant, Down Home Cafe and much more...

Mill Creek Ranch is located right of Interstate 20, providing access to many different shopping venues. Broadway Square Mall is a short drive to Tyler, Tanger Outlet Center is located about 30 miles away in Terrell, and Dallas is only an hour away. Other nearby small towns offer a unique shopping experience for guests at Mill Creek Ranch with choices of antique shops and specialty stores.

Fishing

Lake Fork, Lake Palestine, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Lake Tawakoni are all located within a 30-minute drive from Canton, offering access to Texas' best fishing lakes! Lake Fork is considered by many as one of the best big bass lakes in the country and offers guided fishing tours.

Splash Kingdom Waterpark
Located on Interstate 20, just west of FM 859; Splash Kingdom is a 32-acre water park that will entertain the entire family. The park includes outdoor activities such as a wave pool, a slide tower, a lazy river, and a children's area. Indoor activities include miniature golf and an arcade room. Golf
Local golf clubs include Twin Lakes Golf Course and the Van Zandt Country Club, both located in Canton. Twin Lakes Golf Course has been named one of the Top Ten New Courses in Texas, and prides itself in offering one of the most-challenging layouts in East Texas. Garden Valley Golf Club, only a 15-minute drive from Canton, is a premier golf club that is widely recognized for outstanding golf in East Texas. Zip Line Adventure

Less than a quarter mile from the resort, a brand new state-of-the-art zip line adventure course has been built in Canton.  With some of the highest platforms and the longest zip lines in the state of Texas, their trained and certified guides will guide you through every step of the course whether you’re on the zip lines or the sky bridges. Ground school will teach you everything you need to know to have a thrilling experience on the WIRED course. Caldwell Zoo
A short drive to Tyler, and a popular attraction for the children, the Caldwell Zoo is the perfect place for a family to spend the day. The zoo is open March through Labor Day, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Visit the Caldwell Zoo website.
