The second Mill Creek Ranch swimming pool was began last week.  This beautiful pool is designed with a spa, waterfall, and infinity edge.  Deck space will all visitors to sit by the poolside, enjoy the beautiful Mill Creek valley below and listen to the soothing sounds of falling water.

The infinity edge of the pool provides a magnificent setting for wedding, graduation, and family photos.  The massive 26 foot tall Great Lodge, with her rustic cedar beams, towers above the pool.  So whether you are at the swimming area looking down, or below the pool looking up, be prepared to have your breath taken away.

As of March 1, the Great Lodge is ahead of schedule.  Although the opening date is set for June 15, optimism for an earlier date is called for.  This magnificent structure looms over the beautiful serene valley below, which embraces the sites for our cottages.  Visitors are welcome to come and see this great work in progress.

Now adorning the beautiful entrance to the Mill Creek Ranch Resort is her brand.  This brand will soon become associated in the minds of outdoor hospitality enthusiasts to mean what it says -- "Leisure at its Finest". 

Our new sign is made with same distinctive quality that identifies all MCR.  It is made from sandblasted redwood by the hands of an artist.  It is just one more symbol of our dedication to the finest of facilities and services.

People have been awed by the view from the hillside looking into the wooded stream valley of Mill Creek.  But no longer is this view hidden by one ranch house.  It is now the site of the New Great Lodge at Mill Creek Ranch Resort.

Taylor Barnes, Distinctive Homes has joined Mill Creek Ranch Resort in constructing a powerfully majestic lodge, capturing the views below.  Soon guests at MCR will be able to sit in the Great Room, lounge on the pool deck, and gaze on the winding creeks and lush ponds. 

Completion is scheduled for early June.

New Bathhouses by Athens Park Homes Installed

As part of our exciting growth, Mill Creek Ranch is proud to announce the addition of 2 new bathhouses, manufactured off site by Athens Park Homes. The handicapped accessible units will be equipped with three showers for both men and women and a convenient laundermat. They will have tile floors to assure the maximum cleanliness at all times. And as always, the bathhouses meet the high standards of construction set by Athens Park Homes.

All bath and shower facilities at Mill Creek Ranch are checked hourly for cleanliness to assure every visitor the finest and best maintained facilities -- and they are for our guests only.

Mill Creek Ranch Resort RV Park

Nearing Completion

Mill Creek Ranch Resort is proud to announce that over half of its modern and beautiful RV sites are now open, with projected completion of the full 100 sites to be available by February 1. Weather delays have put off the completion for almost 5 months, but the sites have been rated by some professionals as "park of the year" quality.

Each site will have full hook-ups, including 20, 30, 50 amp service; water and sewer; wifi; and cable TV. All either take advantage of the beautiful East Texas landscape or are landscaped for enjoyment. Premium sites are available.

Groups, rallies, and recreational travelers are all welcome.

MILL CREEK RANCH RESORT LAUNCHES GRAND LODGE PROJECT

Mill Creek Ranch Resort announced today the beginning of construction of their Grand Lodge. The Lodge will be the centerpiece of this first class resort in Canton, Texas.

The Grand Lodge will be perched above the lush creek bottoms of Mill Creek, looking down upon the creek's variety of majestic trees and beautiful ponds. The Lodge, when complete, will be an elegant Texas Ranch House, it will feature sprawling timbers, expansive ceilings, 26 foot tall glass windows, and Austin stone inside and out. Taylor Barnes Distinctive Homes has been selected to construct this project. According to General Manager, Bud Surles, "Rusty Barnes and his company have an eye for the rustic elegance that Mill Creek Ranch reflects in all of its construction and activities." The Grand Lodge will serve the guests of the Resort by providing space for meetings, conferences, seminars, and special events such as weddings, family reunions, and other celebrations. The Lodge will have the capability of serving groups of up to 150.

Overnight accommodations for events hosted at the Grand Lodge are provided in beautiful Park Model cottages manufactured locally by Athens Park Homes.

Cottages can be owned or rented. Ownership provides recreation, leisure, vacation accommodations, easy access and shuttle service to Canton's World Famous First Monday, and income opportunities for the owners as they rent their cottages to Mill Creek guests. Mill Creek Ranch Resort also offers the finest in RV spaces. According to an executive in the RV industry, "Mill Creek Ranch is truly the "Park of the Year."
